The RN-52-EK is an evaluation kit for the RN52, a fully certified Bluetooth® version 3.0 audio module, and fully compatible with Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR. It demonstrates the key features of the RN52 allowing designers to quickly and easily evaluate and develop prototypes.

The board has stereo inputs and outputs, access to all GPIOs, and a built-in amplifier for stereo audio output. It has 6 function buttons to control volume, on/off, and for switching between tracks. The RN-52-EK has the ability to pair with any Smartphone, stream music, and take hands-free calls. It also supports multiple Bluetooth profiles, and includes support for codecs such as SBC, aptX®, and AAC.

Supported Bluetooth Profiles:

  • A2DP stereo audio (sink mode, SBC codec)
  • AVRCP media player remote control
  • HFP/HSP can accept a phone call from mobile phone
  • SPP allows serial data over UART
  • iAP Profile discovery

The RN-52-EK kit comes with the RN52 evaluation board, USB cable, and two USB-powered stereo mini-speakers. It has everything the developer needs to prototype and evaluate the RN52 audio module.

Evaluation Kit for the NVC-MDCS72 Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy Module

NVC-MDCS72 is Bluetooth4.0 single mode module,device targeted for low power sensors and accessories.

The module offers all Bluetooth low energy features: radio, stack, profiles and application space for customer applications, so external processor is not needed.

The module Transmission speed 1MBit in 20 meters,used to transfer simple data sets between compact devices opening up a whole new class of Bluetooth applications such as watches, TV remote controls, medical sensors, and fitness trainers.
